Look at the issues Early balloting will begin for many early in October but many voters are being swayed by the rhetoric and very few voters are looking at the issues. The media is concentrating on the verbal battle between the candidates as they criticize their opponent’s qualifications and the media is avoiding talking about the candidate’s stand on the issues while continuing to trash Donald Trump and anyone associated with him. Yet the election has come down to a question of sharp contrasts. I do not promote one candidate or the other, but point out the stands they take on different issues. This election could be critical to the future of our nation because the two basic groups choose different paths that could have widely differing consequences for our nation. Don’t take my word for it, review the candidate’s speeches and follow the money as I have. Sadly, few people will take the time. Liberal politicians say you should never discuss politics because they know that an informed voter is not easily fooled and they would rather you sleep in ignorance while they run the country.  Special interest groups will tell you who they support because they want you to vote for the candidates that support their views. Groups like Right to Life and Planned Parenthood will tell you who they support on life issues. The National Rifle Association will tell you who they support on Gun issues. The League of Women’s voters will often have a list of candidates in your area and what issues the candidates support. The Congressional Record  will usually tell how representatives voted on each bill, unless it was a voice vote. Regardless of what issues they say they support, you can tell if they  support on issue or not by how they vote.

Polls show that very few, only 3%, of voters consider a candidate’s value of life as a priority when voting. If a candidate does not value life unless it has value to him, he will do anything to cater to you as long as you have value to him, but ignore you the moment you no longer have value to him. The vast majority of voters say that the economy is their number one concern, showing how much the American people have been corrupted by greed, placing personal gain above protecting life. However, the administration’s record on the economy is as bad as its record on protecting life. While the administration and media are trying to convince you that the economy is looking up, all you have to do is look around you and you can tell the economy is in serious trouble. The administration has been handing out generous gifts to lure voters to vote for them and printing money like never before to pay for those gifts. The money is being handed out indiscriminately with no requirement of need. Many people were working and did not need the money.  With all the free money, many are buying luxuries, not necessities, which is fueling inflation. With a lot of excess money, many people are willing to pay higher prices. With high demand and a shortage of goods due to the administrations poor handling of the economy, sellers are pushing to get as much for their goods as possible, which leaves low income and fixed income people paying more and often doing without. Many store shelves are empty because those with extra money are buying wholesale and stockpiling or reselling scarce items at a  profit so many goods never reach the shelves. The administration knows that people will be upset by the rising prices and that they have to pay for all the free money they give out, so they are raising taxes to pay for the generous gifts and raising interest to reduce the money available and slow the inflation. However, this also hurts low income and fixed income people most because they can least afford the higher taxes and interest. Since most people have money taken out for taxes, they won’t notice the higher taxes. They will not notice a difference in what they owe or get back at the end of the year because the amount taken out will be increased to cover the added taxes. The administration is giving away money openly to get votes and then taking it away secretly so they will not lose votes. The question is, do you want to reelect those who force you to continue paying high prices for goods and high taxes and interest rates, or do you want to elect someone who will stop the wasteful spending, reduce the rate of inflation, and bring down taxes and interest rates like we saw under President Trump.

The media is claiming a double standard of liability about what is posted on their site. When faced with a defamation suit for allowing repeated defamatory posts against a conservative Congressman, they claim they should be exempt from liability for what is posted since they cannot closely monitor what is posted. Yet there is clear evidence that they have selectively blocked campaign posts by conservative candidates costing them billions of dollars in campaign funds and an unknown number of votes, while allowing a free flow of posts by liberal candidates. Obviously they can control what is posted and choose to be selective in what they allow depending on who the posts favor politically. If they choose to closely monitor and censor what is posted, then they should be held responsible for irresponsible posts. They can’t have it both ways. Coordinated censorship between public media and social media pose a grave threat to democracy. An electorate cannot make a good  choice between candidates without accurate information about the candidates. They cannot vote intelligently if they only get information from one side and that is greatly distorted. Polls showed a dramatic shift in voter preference away from Donald Trump after accusations that he was working the Russians. The accusations were later proved to be false, but not until after the election when the damage was already done. While it was not enough to prevent his election, it could easily have done so. At that time, they controlled the public media but not the social media. Since then, they have gained control of the social media and numerous conservative candidates have lost elections after liberal candidates have made unfounded accusations just before the election. The media has picked up and broadcast the accusations while blocking attempts of the candidates to defend themselves. Polls show a dramatic shift in voter preference immediately after the accusations indicating that the accusations were instrumental in changing the outcomes of many of the elections. Clearly, the voters voted based on false information but the candidates who made the accusations and the media who supported them, have never been held accountable. Any accusations should be tried in a court of law, not in the media with no chance for the accused to defend themselves. Those who deliberately make false accusations in order to corrupt the election process should be prosecuted.

While the administration claims that conservatives pose a threat to democracy, their actions speak louder than their words. There have now been 83 churches and 73 crisis pregnancy centers vandalized or fire-bombed since the leak of information about the possibility of the Supreme Court overturning Roe vs Wade and calls by liberal members of Congress for their supporters to shut down pro-life centers, yet the FBI has not arrested anyone. Yet, a total of 11 people have been arrested by the FBI and face possible prison terms for praying in front of an abortion clinic. The FBI is clearly being used by the administration to threaten and intimate opponents while ignoring terrorists who support the administration.  Numerous whistleblowers in the FBI have come forward with information about illegal targeting of opponents of the administration but the current administration and Congress refuse to investigate the information. President Obama hired a large number of FBI agents just before he left office who remained in their positions during President Trump’s administration and continually harassed President Trump. In the 2016 election, the FBI used information President Trump was working with the Russians to investigate him, knowing the information they used was false and in 2020, they ordered social media sites to withhold information on Hunter Biden’s laptop until after the election to protect Joe Biden and had them block posts of prominent conservative groups and candidates, allowing candidates friendly to the administration to dominate the social media. In the 2016 election, the IRS was instrumental in harassing conservative groups by threatening to withhold their tax exempt status and now President Biden has hired a large number of additional IRS agents. The FBI and IRS are supposed to be above politics and for the administration to use the power of government, paid for by the American people, to silence their opponents is a clear and present threat to democracy. Congressmen need to be elected this year who will support an investigation of those in the FBI who are responsible.

The Feast of Tabernacles (Booths) Oct 4

The Feast of Tabernacles (Booths)  occurs seven days after the Day of Atonement-(five days after Yom Kippur) and lasts a week. It is a time when the Jews build crude huts or booths to dwell in. It is a time of remembering when the Jews wandered in the wilderness, lived in booths, and were dependent on God and how God provided for them. It occurred during the harvest festival when the workers lived in booths near the field and moved them as the harvest moved from field to field. God warned them that when they entered the land of Canaan and experienced the plenty of the land that they should not forget their dependence on God and dwelling in booths would remind them of His provision. Indeed, in our time of plenty, we have lost our appreciation for all God has provided us and think our hand alone has provided this. We forget we are dependent on God for all we have, including the very air we breathe.

Sixth Sunday of Kingdomtide-Oct 9

Value of Children –In early history, children were prized because they were necessary for the preservation of the family or group. In fact, women (who produced children) and children were so prized that they were often kidnapped or taken as captives of war from neighboring groups. Over the years, they were often valued to help out on the farm and farm families had a lot of children. As cities have grown, the value of children has declined. At various times in history, they have lost their value and various means of aborting unwanted children or killing them after birth, were developed. However, at no time in history has it taken on the proportions it has today. Environmental activists seek to restrict the birthrate to preserve nature and groups like Planned Parenthood seek to restrict the birth of populations they don’t like, such as Blacks and Hispanics, and the poor. They look at whether they can contribute what they cost to maintain or will they restrict our opportunities?  We have no way of estimating what the future economic contribution of a child will be. Many non-White and poor White orphans have gone on to make great contributions, when given the opportunity and the education. Christians recognize that each person is created by God for a purpose and to take that life is to destroy God’s creation. Many individuals contribute a great deal that cannot be measured in dollars and cents and God created them regardless of their skin color and nationality.

Yom Kippur-Oct 4

Christians have ignored Rosh Hosanna and Yom Kippur because they refer to the end times. Many Christians assume that believers will be caught up to be with Christ when the trumpet sounds and only unbelievers will go through the Tribulation. However, believers must be ready as Jesus states in the parable of the virgins and the marriage feast, and they must be serving Him as Jesus states in the parable of the sheep and the goats, or they will not rise with Christ and will have to face the Tribulation. Therefore, we must be ready every day for we do not know when our time on earth will end. Many will die before Christ comes back and their fate will be sealed forever. In addition, non-Christians will face the Tribulation if we don’t reach them for Christ. Therefore, it is very important for Christians to continue to be reminded of the Second Coming. President Biden has directed the federal bureaucracy to enable government employees to get around the State laws in States banning abortions by assisting them to travel to States that allow abortions. He is also pressuring State Medicaid providers to cover out of State abortions. That is a  open affront to the States. Medicaid is a State funded medical plan for welfare recipients in the State. Since it is State-funded, it is for the residents of that State. By pressuring them to cover abortions for non-residents, it is violating the laws governing the program. State residents should not have to pay for elective medical procedures for people from out of State and the federal government should not be telling the States how to run their programs. His intent is to enable residents of States that do not allow abortions to travel to States that allow abortions and still get their abortions paid for, so Planned Parenthood doesn’t lose money. If Planned Parenthood loses money, they will have less money to contribute to political campaigns for liberal politicians.

President Biden does not seem to care about laws or the American people. He cares only about getting his way and continuing the flow of money his party gets from Planned Parenthood. A number of States have banned abortions but President Biden wants to get around those laws by having the Veteran’s Hospitals do abortions in States where it is illegal. First, federal law prohibits Veteran’s Hospitals from doing abortions. Second, to use his power as President to undermine State laws and overturn the will of the people is an abuse of power. Since Planned Parenthood gets millions of dollars from the government in the form of Medicaid, and passes millions of those dollars on to the Democratic party in campaign funds, it is also a conflict of interest. Finally, there is nothing in the Constitution or the laws of the United States that exempts federal employees from obeying the laws of the States where they live and/or work. They would be violating State law by performing the abortions. As President, he seems to think that he can do whatever he wants and not be accountable to anyone and that is very dangerous. As President, he is not above  the law, and he doesn’t have the authority to order people to disobey the law. We need people in Congress who will hold  him accountable for his actions.

Violence and social strife-2-W

While the president and liberal members of Congress continually accuse conservatives of trying to overthrow the government, they continue to call for violence against conservatives to threaten and intimidate them into silence. Monday, a teenage boy who was killed because his killer said “he thought the boy was a Republican extremist” was laid to rest. Since the killer freely admits he killed the boy because of his political views, it clearly falls under the “hate crime” bill requiring FBI investigation. His killer is now out on bond without supervision or house arrest after posting a mere $50,000 bail. Contrast that to the case of Mark Houck, a father of seven children who was peacefully praying in front of an abortion clinic with his twelve year old son when his son was ridiculed and verbally assaulted by a clinic worker. The father repeatedly told the worker to stop. Finally, he shoved the worker away. The worker filed charges against him for assault and battery. The District Court of Philadelphia threw the case out of court last month. However, last Friday, 25 FBI agents broke down his door and arrested him in front of his wife and children on charges under the federal Freedom of Clinic Access law and he could face up to 11 years in prison for defending life and his family. This administration is out of control and using the FBI to threaten and silence conservatives while turning a blind eye to violence by liberal terrorists who are responding to calls by the administration to threaten and attack their opponents by vandalizing and firebombing churches and pro-life women’s health clinics. The FBI needs to be investigated for its actions against conservatives and its inaction against liberals and those responsible need to be prosecuted. In addition, those people in government who are calling on their followers to attack their opponents need to be prosecuted. Liberals in Congress prosecuted President Trump for inciting to riot when videos show he urged his followers to stay calm and go home. It is only right that they should be prosecuted when they  openly call for violence against conservatives on public television. In addition, those who are vandalizing, and fire-bombing churches and pro-life clinics need to be arrested and prosecuted. However, it won’t be done by the current administration which pours millions of dollars of taxpayer money into Planned Parenthood and receives millions of dollars of that money back for their political campaigns. We need to elect Congressmen in November who will restore justice to our country.
