The National Education Association continues to proclaim that the bills extending school vouchers to kids in failing schools are stealing money from the public schools to fund private schools. They make it look like greedy private schools are seeking to gain access to the public treasury. They miss the whole issue. American public education was developed with the principle that the schools would be controlled by parents and local voters. Liberal politicians have seized control of the local schools by funneling federal and State money to local schools which has enabled them to dictate what is taught and how it is taught. Parents and voters are becoming increasingly upset with the way the government is using their tax money to control the schools and indoctrinate students in liberal policies in order to further its own political agenda. Parents and voters are demanding that the schools either listen to them or they will fund other schools that will. If parents cannot mold the public schools to give their children the kind of education they feel is best, they must find a way to send their kids to schools that will.  These bills are the public’s way of trying to regain control of their schools. It is a question of whether we remain a free country where parents are free to choose the kind of schooling that is best for their kids or the government forces them to send their kids to schools that indoctrinate them in liberal philosophy and trains them to be obedient slaves to the government.

I received the following copy of a newspaper clipping from 1937 from a friend of mine.
Nazis take parents away from children
Nov. 29, 1937 In Waldenberg, Germany, a court has taken parents away from their children because they refused to teach them Nazi ideology. The parents are pacifists, members of a Christian sect called International Bible Researchers. The court accused them of creating an environment where the children would grow up “enemies of the state.” The children were delivered into the state’s care. The judge delivered a lengthy statement reading in part, “The law as a racial and national instrument entrusts German parents with the education of their children only under certain conditions, namely, that they educate them in the fashion that the nation and state expect.”

The same philosophy is being promoted by liberal politicians in this country. Numerous liberal States are moving against parents who homeschool to shut them down. In some instances, children have been taken away from their parents under the pretext that the children aren’t getting an adequate education. Liberal State governments are putting pressure on private schools to teach the same liberal doctrines on sex and gender being taught in many of the public schools. Liberal politicians are now calling on the FBI to label parents who speak out in school board meetings as terrorists and investigate them because they claim the parents pose a threat to society. When parents looking out for the welfare of their children becomes a threat to those in power, those in power are a threat to society.

A large number of young people voted in this recent election and the majority voted for liberal politicians. They thought they were voting to protect democracy but were deceived. The only education they get is in schools where they read socialist friendly textbooks and from the media and social media that are heavily controlled by liberals. Most young people have no understanding of the issues involved because they have been fed a continual stream of liberal propaganda.  They think the socialism being pushed by liberals is democracy and socialists like Joe Biden continually talk about how they are protecting democracy, while seeking to undermine it. In the early 1970’s, during the Vietnam War, many hippies were upset by the materialism of their parents and were escaping to communes where they lived a carefree life with no laws or responsibilities. The socialists flooded the college campuses with stories about how the United States had invaded Vietnam and was trying to enslave them. The kids had no idea that China had invaded Vietnam and the United States was trying to help Vietnam protect itself. The kids equated Communism (which was really socialism) with their life in the communes. As a result, the young people protested the war and eventually forced the United States to withdraw from the war allowing Vietnam to fall to the Chinese Socialists. Many of the socialists active then like Bill Clinton and John Kerry are still active in government and are now seeking to create a socialist government in the United States. The church must step up and educate the kids in the facts of the issues. That is why I have written the series on the value of life, the value of law, and the value of marriage and gender. Teachers unions say the public schools will be seriously hurt by the loss of money and students if vouchers are given to children to take to the school of their choice, but areas using vouchers have found public schools improve, sometimes dramatically when vouchers are introduced. Our public schools have become lazy and inefficient because they have not had any real competition in the past because private schools are so expensive. When vouchers are introduced, public schools trim fat and improve teaching to avoid losing students. Currently, most parents are forced to send their kids to public schools because they must pay all or most of the tuition themselves to send their kids to private schools, where public school students are supported by taxes spread out over all residents of the school district. In fact, parents who wish to send their kids to private schools must pay the private school’s tuition in addition to paying taxes to support the public schools since they do not get any refund of their school taxes if their kids attend private schools. Shouldn’t all parents have a right to send their kids to the school that is best for them, not just the rich?

Liberals are claiming that the Supreme Court has violated the separation of church and State by ruling that Maine can provide services that do not include religious instruction (meals, transportation, etc.) to religious schools. It is not supporting religion since the services do not include religious teaching. In addition, since the parents are paying public school taxes and the services are provided by the school district to non-religious schools, to deny religious schools the funds, is discriminating against religious schools because of their religious base. In addition, since the schools are in areas not served by public schools, no public schools will be hurt by it and the children would be denied access to schooling if the religious schools were not able to serve them.
