Our government is becoming increasingly oppressive as well. Liberal States have been cracking down on Christian pastors who speak out against government policies. They are being aided by the courts. During the Cold War, Russia claimed it would take over America without firing a shot. They would take control of the media, the schools, and eventually the government. While McCarthy warned there were Russian agents infiltrating the media and the government, many people ridiculed him and called him an alarmist. Since then, we have seen Socialists gradually take over the media, the schools, and the government. Almost all media outlets are controlled by the Associated Press which distributes its version of the news to most stations. There are still some, like Fox news and a few other small outlets, but most get their news from the Associated Press who tailors their news to fit their agenda. Almost all school textbooks come from a single publisher which is very liberal. The social media is also dominated by Facebook which is becoming increasing restrictive of anything that goes against the party line. Conservatives should find other media to keep up on what is going on. It used to be that Facebook only had a few fact-checkers that weeded out anything they didn’t like. They had to concentrate on the big organizations that produce information on conservative values because they lacked the resources to do more. Now they are calling for an army of volunteers to “monitor” (spy on) smaller sites and they are increasingly censoring smaller sites that are reposting information from the bigger sites.
