The Supreme Court has ruled that religious organizations are exempt and are still free to decide for themselves whether to conduct same-sex marriages or not but government employees must do so. While the Supreme Court upheld the rights of religious institutions to be guided by their faith, they abolished the right of persons of faith who work for the government to be guided by their faith. I am certain now that a precedence has been set allowing the Supreme Court to set aside the Constitution when it gets in the way of their agenda, we will see attempts to get the Supreme Court to repeal that exemption, just as we have seen attempts by President Biden and many of his public officials to force religious institutions to conduct abortions and to support Gay marriages in violation of the Supreme Court decision. The liberal press has severely criticized judges who seek to uphold the Constitution because they stand in the way of liberals imposing their will on the American people. Chief Justice John Roberts proclaimed that when five Supreme court judges can ignore the Constitution and ignore the will of the people, imposing their will on the country, there is nothing left between us and a socialist dictatorship. Supreme Court justices are appointed, not elected, and serve for life. They can only be removed by impeachment to isolate them from political pressure but it can’t protect us from Supreme Court justices who put their own agenda before the will of the people.

The Democrats are calling for judicial reform but we have to ask what they are changing and how they are changing it. Our country was founded on the rule of law and the Biblical principle that no one is above the law, including the President. The Constitution was the law of the land and the Supreme Court the final say regarding the application of federal laws. However, we are seeing increasing Democrat appointed judges who have taken the law into their own hands and bent it to promote their agenda. We are seeing how far our country has fallen. In 1973, the Supreme Court ruled in Roe vs Wade that the States could not enforce voter enacted laws protecting unborn children in spite of the Constitution’s declaration protecting the right to life. In 2015, the Supreme Court ruled  in Obergefell vs Hodges, that the laws of the States that banned same sex marriages were unconstitutional and that same sex couples have a right to marry. In doing so, the Supreme Court openly violated the Constitution by overturning laws exacted by the people of the States that were in force. They believe that the Supreme Court can overturn a legitimate vote of the people and the people no longer have any vote on the matter. The Constitution does not give the Supreme Court the right to rule in cases of State laws. By ruling that the laws were unenforceable or unconstitutional, it in effect repealed those laws.  The Constitution specifically states that anything not delegated to the U.S. government is the jurisdiction of the States. The 2015 ruling dealt with the institution of marriage which the Constitution never delegated to the federal government so it has no jurisdiction over it. The Supreme Court should not even been ruling on the case. In overturning Roe vs Wade, the Supreme Court ruled that unborn babies were subject  to the protection of the courts. While it allows the States to enact their own laws regarding unborn babies, the federal government and all federal agencies and officials are bound to protect them by the Constitution, yet President Biden and multiple federal agencies and officials continue to support and even mandate abortions in open violation of the Constitution.

I feel that everyone should be treated equal and no one should be discriminated against for any reason, but there is no proof they have ever been discriminated against. Gays are not a class who have faced widespread discrimination and need special privileges to catch up like women and Blacks. First, Gays on average have more money and sit in more seats of power than the average heterosexual. Often the fathers in rich families are absent frequently on business or emotionally distant and children are boarded in boys and girls schools accounting for the high prevalence of homosexuality among the rich so there is no evidence of discrimination as a class. Second, unlike Blacks and women, Gays have no physical characteristic that identifies them. The average person who is Gay looks and acts no different then heterosexuals do in public. You would not know they are Gay unless they choose to publicly identify themselves as Gay or flaunt their sexual activities in public, so they would not face discrimination unless they publicly identify themselves. Thus, while they should not be discriminated against for being Gay, they invite discrimination by identifying themselves as being Gay. They control the way they act in public so their decisions determine whether they will face discrimination. With Blacks and women, it is hard to hide the fact that they are Black or a woman and they have often been discriminated against through no fault of their own. They are discriminated against for something beyond their control, not because of the choices they make. Homosexuals say they can not change, but many do. Blacks and women can not change the fact that they are a woman or are Black. In addition, since Gays have no physical characteristic that proves they are Gay, anyone can claim he is Gay and demand special treatment opening any law against discrimination to widespread abuse.

  Liberal Democrats are pressuring President Biden to mandate what they call “Gay Rights” but which are in fact “Gay Privileges”. They say Gays are being discriminated against and need to have laws to protect their rights but the laws they are proposing, (Gay Bill of Special Rights) grant special employment status for homosexuals and transsexuals which go beyond asking for equality and in fact demand special privileges. Anti-discrimination laws were needed for Blacks and women to secure them equal treatment because they were being discriminated against and laws were needed to prevent continuing discrimination. However, such laws did not demand special privileges, all they required was equal treatment. Because whenever you grant one class special privileges, you automatically discriminate against other classes who don’t share those special privileges. Yet, even with those there was danger of abuse and we saw them abused by some Blacks and women who claimed they deserved special privileges, but they were the exception, not the rule. This new law is being drawn up with the intent to get special privileges.

Democrats seem to think that if we trade with our enemies, they will like us. Both Presidents Obama and Biden have restricted American oil production and increased reliance on Arab oil. While they state it is due to environmental concerns, it also aids the Arabs by pouring millions of American dollars into the Arab economy. That money is not going to aid the Arab people. The Arab States remain fairly poor. That money is being funneled into the pockets of the leaders and into the terrorist organizations that have stated that they intend to wipe out Israel and the United States. In that way, we  are supporting the terrorists in their campaign to destroy us. It also makes us vulnerable to blackmail as the Arab States threaten to cut off our oil supply if we don’t  stop attacking the terrorists. As a result, America has vastly reduced its attacks on terrorists and in fact turns a blind eye to the genocide being carried out against Christians in Arab countries. While it means less attacks against the United States, 9-11 showed us that it only lasts as long as we keep supporting them. If we withdraw our support of their terrorist activities by switching to more American oil, they attack us again. It is a false security that doesn’t last. Like any blackmail, it only lasts as long as you give in to the blackmailer’s demands. In addition, they opened our doors and gave China favored trade status. Democrats state they believe in diplomacy instead of military intervention. They have a very narrow view of the situation. The Arabs have stated that they intend to wipe out Israel and have been involved in the attacks on the United States, who have supported Israel, including 9-11. They openly proclaim that they will wipe out the infidels, which includes the United States. They are determined to make everyone Moslem, if someone doesn’t convert, they kill them. That is very similar to what Hitler did when he said he would rule the world. He attacked country after country while western nations continued to try to negotiate a peace. Every time they offered a concession, he came back and demanded more. It didn’t work with Hitler and it hasn’t worked with the Arab terrorists. You can’t negotiate with someone who wants an entire pie. Offering them part of the pie won’t work. Every time you give them part of it, they come back for more of your share. They aren’t interested in dividing the pie, they want it all. You can’t negotiate with someone who wants you dead. You can’t offer to let them rough you up a little instead, they won’t be happy until you convert to Islam or are dead. Diplomacy may work when two countries have a dispute but doesn’t work with dictators and radicals who want to rule the world.

Ohio Constitution Amendment

People in Ohio are concerned how easy it has been for outside interests to insert their pet projects in our Constitution and saddle Ohioans with them. It currently requires only half of the counties to submit petitions and only a simple majority to pass. People in Ohio are moving to amend the Constitution to bring it in line with other States, many require a 60% approval. The federal government requires 2/3rds of Congress and 3/4ths of the States to pass an amendment. Here is a brief video on the issue.

President Biden continues to issue executive orders which violate federal law. First. he has no authority to authorize funding, that is the responsibility of the Congress. Second, he has authorized funds for abortion overseas in violation of federal law (Hatch Act) prohibiting funds to support abortion overseas and ordered State Medicaid programs to pay for abortions for those traveling to the State from States that do not allow abortions. Medicaid funds are State funds and are not to be used for non-residents. He has also reinstated President Obama’s mandate that employer provided health insurance must provide coverage for abortion in spite of the law authorizing Obamacare which prohibits insurance coverage from covering abortion. He has even included churches and religious  organizations in spite of the Constitutional amendment prohibiting the government from interfering with the free expression of faith. Such open disregard for the rule of law is an afront to the American people. The people need to elect representatives to Congress who will uphold the law. The American people cannot be expected to obey the laws of this nation if its leaders do not.

While Democrats continue to claim the rich have to pay a bigger share, they ignore the basic problem. The problem is their inability to get along with what they have. While federal law requires a balanced budget, they add additional spending after approving the budget so it doesn’t show up in the budget. They spend freely running up the national debt and then raise the debt limit to accommodate it. They claim they will not raise taxes but quietly add new taxes or tax increases into other bills. The increased taxes are mostly directed at businesses, so they will be invisible to the average taxpayer. They feel that since those taxpayers are voters, they need to be kept in the dark. They say the businesses are getting rich and can afford it but those taxes are then passed on to the consumer. In addition, increased taxes decreases profit and discourage expansion and results in businesses cutting back on their labor force and on production of less profitable goods, resulting in the taxes bringing in less than expected. They also need to cut taxes. History has shown that cutting taxes encourages business expansion and usually more than makes up for the tax rate cuts in added sales and additional employees hired.

The liberals are continuing to push to subvert justice by stacking the Supreme Court. They had to back off on the addition of several justices due to the tremendous negative backlash. People were horrified that they would deliberately stack the court to get their way. However, they have not stopped their efforts to regain control of the Supreme Court. They have seen a number of their pet issues overturned and can’t wait for the conservative justices to retire. They want to regain control of the Court before the Court shoots down any more of their pet issues. They have made frivolous accusations against several conservative judges in order to discredit them and hopefully gain sympathy. While they call for the judges to be impeached, it is doubtful they could gain the support necessary. They are also calling for term limits for the judges. That would eliminate several of the conservative judges and open the way for them to appoint additional justices. Term limits would violate the Constitutional provision that the justices serve for life and would require a Constitutional amendment. The Constitution made provision for them to serve for life so Presidents would not stack the Court to approve their pet issues. Term limits would result in more rapid turnover and allow Presidents to stack the courts. The one thing the founding Fathers feared most. A Constitutional Convention would require 2/3 approval of both houses of Congress and they can’t even get a simple majority. In addition it would require approval of 3/4th of the States and they only control a few States. The States are heavily populated States so they control a lot of votes but they are concentrated in just a few States. That is why they want to do away with the Electoral College. The Electoral College guarantees that the President has broad support across the country and not just in a few States. Our country was founded on the principle that justice is blind and should apply equally to all but liberals have ignored the Constitution and State and federal laws when they prevent them from getting what they want. They have also used the FBI and Dept of Justice as well as the IRS to harass and intimidate conservatives, while turning a blind eye to crimes committed by liberals. It is time to elect representatives who will respect the law and restore justice  in America.
