Volunteer in Social Services -Until recently, most social service work was done by the church and more recently by Christian social service agencies. Volunteer work with the agencies was seen as part of the church’s ministry and members frequently volunteered. Until recently churches supported Christian social service agencies directly and members had close contact with the agencies through regular reports but churches have increasingly withdrawn their support leaving the agencies to depend on community-wide funding campaigns and many church members no longer have contact with them. As a result, members no longer see social service work as ministry and rarely volunteer anymore. Since the 1930’s, the government has taken over the majority of social service work. In the past, many members learned to minister to others through specialized positions in the church, such as deacons and deaconesses that ministered to members and those in the community in need. Few churches have such positions any more or they do little more than provide meals for sick members or at funerals and weddings, since most such work is done by government and Christian Social Service agencies. Government agencies are well funded with tax dollars but Christian social service agencies must depend on donations. As a result, Christian Social Service agencies are often tight on funds and so cannot afford adequate staff. Therefore, they must depend on volunteers to help. Volunteering provides an excellent way for members to learn to minister to others because the agencies often provide training and supervision while they learn. Some enjoy the work so much that they go to school and get training to work in Social services.
Health Care-K
There are far more Pro-life pregnancy centers than abortion centers and those centers provide a lot of health services for women. Pro-life centers provide health screenings and pre-natal care. They also provide counseling to help the woman find the best choice for her. Unlike Planned Parenthood, they encourage the woman to keep the baby if she is able as well as assisting with adoptions for women who do not feel they can keep the baby. Pro-life centers provide nutrition and clothes to the mothers before delivery and provide nutrition, clothes, diapers, and furniture for the baby, if they choose to keep it. In addition, they provide classes on child care to help the women care for the child, since many have had no experience in caring for children. They also provide post-abortion trauma counseling for those who have previously gone through abortions. Such counseling is not provided by abortion centers who claim it is not needed. They don’t know of the need since they do not follow up on women who have had abortions, and the women do not come back to them unless they are in need of another abortion. Women would lose a lot of health care without pro-life centers. It makes far more sense to fund pro-life centers than to fund abortion clinics.

President Biden denied funds for women’s health care to Tennessee because they are pro-life. President Biden did everything he could to funnel tax-payer funds to Planned Parenthood which in turn funneled it back to him and other Democrats through their contributions to Democrat political campaign funds. Besides the obvious conflict of interest and the ethics of it being a use of tax-payer funds to fund political campaigns, it is a violation of federal law which prohibits the use of federal funds for funding abortion in the United States and overseas. Kamala Harris has promised to continue the support for abortion. When President Trump took steps to limit funds going to Planned Parenthood, Planned Parenthood claimed that it would leave women without health care, yet Planned Parenthood provides very little health care for women. Abortion makes up the majority of the services they provide. They do provide contraceptives and encourage women and girls to enjoy sex without worry about pregnancy but fail to tell them that contraceptives may fail if not used according to schedule. When I worked in the inner city, the neighborhood center I worked at had a Planned Parenthood center there. The workers told us that the women frequently got pregnant because the women do not use them according to schedule because of the demands of surviving. Abortion was not yet allowed and Planned Parenthood opposed it at that time. After abortion became available, they began to push those contraceptives to teen girls who they knew have busy schedules and are not as diligent in using them as they require and that it would result in frequent pregnancies. In spite of their claim to be pro-choice, counseling consists mainly of funneling pregnant women to the abortion centers and do not offer women any other choices. They constantly work to enact laws to prevent parents and spouses from interfering with the women who seek abortions. Contrary to their assertions, performing abortions is not health care. Women would lose very little health care if Planned Parenthood closed.

The Estate Tax- Kamala Harris wants to push our estate tax to the highest in the world to heavily tax the rich. That sounds good. Some States also have estate taxes of their own. They say those who oppose it are rich and are trying to get rid of it. Such rhetoric stems from a basic misunderstanding of what it is. The estate tax is a tax on the estate of someone who dies. The assumption is that only the rich pay the tax. However, those who have a large business generally are not affected by the estate tax because they usually incorporate the business and include their children in the business. As a result, the children don’t have to pay any estate tax because the business assets belong to the business and are not considered part of the assets. The tax hurts family farms and family businesses the most. A farmer may own 1000 acres and leaves it to his children when he dies. His children often have to sell the farm to pay the tax since the farmer probably doesn’t have the savings to pay the tax. All his money is tied up in land, buildings, and equipment. Not only does the family lose the income from the father (the breadwinner) who dies, they also lose the means to continue earning a living (the farm). The same goes for a man who owns a small business, like a grocery store in a small town. Communities also suffer because many of those businesses in small towns close because they cannot find a buyer. It may be the only grocery store, barber shop, or other business of its kind in the town forcing residents to drive to nearby cities for those services. It also leaves those who work for the business out of work. Those who are retired generally have most of their assets in money producing stocks which the family has to sell to pay the tax so their children also lose the income.

Involving members in ministry-part-B Today, many churches have few active ministries and involve a minimum of members in ministry. Current leaders have occupied the same positions since anyone can remember and probably will as long as they are able. This results in the church getting in a rut and refusing to do anything new. The church needs to expand the churches ministry to involve more members. An affective way to draw new ideas into the decision process is to return to the Biblical principle of the Sabbatical. The Bible set aside the Sabbath (seventh day) as a day of rest and established the Sabbatical (seventh year) as a time of rest where the Jews were to rely totally on God’s provision. Establishing the Biblical doctrine of Sabbatical where workers serve for six years and then take off a year on a rotating basis allows new Christians to gain experience and allows workers to step back and look for other areas that might interest them. It also enables the church to introduce new members into the decision making process (See “To Preserve The Light” in Rebuilding The Kingdom” copyright 2012) In addition, Christian para-church organizations often need volunteers and provide training for them providing excellent opportunities for those seeking to get experience in ministering to others. Some even have paid positions where members can become involved in full-time ministry

Democrats are condemning Republicans for cleaning up their voter rolls by removing people who have not voted for several years, claiming they are denying these people the right to vote. In some States, they are even suing the State for cleaning their rolls, even though they are required to do so by federal law. The numbers have often been in the thousands of names and more. While removing people from the rolls may sound cruel, it ignores the facts. Many of those people have died or moved out of State and are no longer eligible to vote. The State has continually tried to contact the remaining ones and received no response indicating that either they are not interested in voting or are no longer living at the registered address and are not eligible to vote until they file a change of address. Anyone removed who decides they do want to vote has only to register again and they will be eligible to vote, so no one is being denied a chance to vote. Every name on the roll that hasn’t voted for years is an easy target for corrupt politicians. All they need to do is look up a name of someone who hasn’t voted and send someone to the polls claiming to be that person. Democrats usually don’t require the person to provide identification so it is easy for someone to do it. While Democrats claim that that it is rare for someone to vote illegally, it is known that around four million illegal immigrants were registered to vote in California alone, in the last Presidential election and about one million voted. Over five thousand jurors were removed from the rolls in Virginia because they were not legal citizens, and jurors are selected from voter rolls. It is estimated that over a thousand of them voted. In New Hampshire, where voters can register at the polls using out of State licenses for identification if they sign a statement they just moved into the State, over four thousand people voted, using out of State ID’s, claiming to have moved into the State, however over a thousand had not got a State license or register a car for license plates in the following year indicating that either they were driving on a license that was no longer valid or they had not really moved into the State. Federal law requires States clean their rolls regularly to reduce the opportunity for fraud. Democrats are also fighting the attempts of some States to require those registering to vote provide proof of citizenship. Since some States allow illegal immigrants to get ID’s and even drivers licenses, it is important to show proof of citizenship since an ID or drivers license is no longer a proof of citizenship.

Involving members in ministry part A Children learn by doing and new Christians learn the same way. Unfortunately, few churches today have training programs where new Christians can work alongside more mature Christians. Many church leaders have occupied the same positions since anyone can remember. The church needs to provide hands on training for newer Christians under experienced workers. By involving new Christians in ministry in the congregation and in Christian ministries, new Christians learn how to serve Christ and the Church. They learn how to minister as they minister to others. As new Christians minister to others, they not only learn to identify those who have needs and how to minister to them, they also develop a love and concern for them. However, few churches today involve many of their members in ministry. They wait until an opening occurs and try to pressure someone to take the position, even though that person may have no prior experience and may not have the gifts for it or the concern for it. As a result, many Churches today do little to train new Christians in ministry or reach people for Christ. Involving more members in ministry will allow the church to train more people for ministry and reach more people for Christ by providing hands on training for newer Christians under experienced workers. It also enables the church to train them for when the present leadership can no longer serve.

The liberal politicians continue to revoke the protections which Women’s liberation won to protect women in the workforce from dangerous occupations and chemicals. Women fought hard for those protections because many of those women were wives and mothers. In addition, they are continuing to push women in the Armed Services into combat positions. Many of those women have to leave their children behind when they are deployed and risk leaving those children motherless if they are killed. Liberal politicians have no concern about what women in combat means to their families because liberals would rather women did not get married or have children. In addition, women suffer a great deal from harassment from the men who are under stress in combat situations and from the problems associated with women in the primitive conditions faced in combat. In addition, women face a greater danger in combat against men who are bigger and stronger than they are, but the politicians give no thought to that. They want to wipe out any distinction between the sexes. Some have even been pushing to extend the draft to cover women. While women may volunteer for military service, they should not be forced through the draft. They often hold up Israel as an example of how women can serve in the military but they forget that Israel is a country under siege by the nations around it. They need every able man and woman to help defend the country. They don’t have a choice. In addition, there is no front line. The whole country is in danger so women can not be protected behind the front lines. . They say they care about women but they do not show it by their disregard for women’s safety.
