President Biden now says he wants to close the border but can’t get the funding through Congress. Hopefully no one will believe that but unfortunately many will. He used executive orders to strip away the border wall funds and fought any funding for the wall.  There would have been plenty of money to build the wall if he had not fought it. In addition, he has fought attempts by Texas to erect their own barriers to prevent them from coming in. He cannot claim he wants to close the border while he continues to have the border patrols remove barriers that Texas has erected. His border policy has been a greater disaster than even that under President Obama. President Biden has caused it by promising open borders so people feel they can get in easily. In addition, he has encouraged it by offering asylum to those that get in. Liberal “sanctuary cities” have also encouraged it by providing financial help to them and preventing them from being deported.  People are beginning to realize how bad it is getting and are deserting the Democratic party, so President Biden is starting to act like he has changed his position and is ready to cooperate, but his actions continue to show it is just rhetoric to gain votes for reelection.  He could build an impenetrable wall along the entire Mexican border with what it costs the America people every year to provide the extra services for the illegal immigrants that are flowing into our country.

Environment-M

We are continuing to see the folly of depending on wind and solar power. Texas endured a long period without electricity over most of the State because they got an unexpected snow storm. It is extremely rare but a major problem if it occurs. Their solar panels got covered with snow and the wind turbines froze. They had not kept their regular power stations on standby to cover the interim because it is so rare. As a result, a lot of people suffered from their neglect. We need to keep regular power plants to back up and support solar and wind power. In addition, we need to realize the limitations of electric vehicles. Many cities have a large portion of their electric buses inoperable because of frequent breakdowns and the inability to get parts to fix them. M=In addition, many northern States are finding that their electric powered buses that are still running do not run well in the cold weather. In addition, we can’t just suddenly switch to all electric because we need to prepare the power grid and a lot of people don’t have the money to get them, not to mention that a lot of good gas powered vehicles would end up in the junk yards creating a tremendous waste of resources. While protecting the environment is important, it should not be pushed to the extreme where it does more harm than good.

Nutrition-A major problem with the elderly is eating right. While many do not feel that nutrition is an important among the elderly, it is really an important ministry to the one who receives the meals. Elderly women who are used to cooking for someone may not feel much like fixing meals just for themselves. Arthritis and other ailments may also make cooking difficult. Many widowed men are used to their wives cooking and not used to cooking for themselves. In addition, many elderly do not feel much like eating alone and may skip meals resulting in malnutrition that leads to poor health. Home delivered meals provide a daily nutritious meal for them. In addition, the delivery provides a daily check on them to make sure they are alright which is important because they may not have anyone to check on them otherwise. It also provides a friendly visit. While those delivering the meals usually can’t stop for long, a cheerful greeting is very welcome to someone who rarely sees anyone. Sit-down meals are provided at many Senior centers and some provide transportation to those within a limited distance but many live too far from a Senior Center to get to the meals. Churches may offer luncheons to Seniors who live nearby or provide transportation to Senior Centers. Home delivered meals are available through many Senior Centers but the elderly may live too far from the center to get them. Individuals who drop by with a prepared meal occasionally and stay to share it are appreciated. Several elderly living close to each other may get together and eat together. I once visited an elderly woman who lived on the second floor of an apartment building. Three other elderly ladies lived on her floor. One of the women had previously had a big family and was used to cooking for them but they had all moved away and none of them lived nearby. She got the other ladies together and told them that if each contributed a portion of the cost of groceries, she would cook for them all and they could eat together. The women agreed and it benefited them all. A mother of young children can occasionally invite an elderly neighbor over to share lunch while the kids take their nap, allowing her much needed fellowship as  well as the Senior.

Laws of every State in the U.S. requires parental notification and permission before minors can receive any medication or medical treatment, except in cases where injuries are life threatening, abortion providers feel they are above the law. Your child’s school can not give your child an aspirin or pierce a student’s ears without parental permission, yet they routinely give students birth control pills and even transport them to clinics for abortions without notifying the parents, let alone getting their permission. In spite of the fact that it is illegal to have sex with a minor and anyone aware of such are required to report it to child protection agencies, school personnel often assist children in getting abortions and abortion clinics routinely perform abortions on minors without notifying parents or child protection agencies as required by law. Some States have been able to push through laws that specifically requires parental notification before a child can get an abortion but abortion providers have managed to get exceptions in some States where a judge can approve for a parental bypass when he feels the girl is in danger if parents are notified. While that sounds good, they then line up judges who will approve such applications without investigating the circumstances or interviewing the girl. Those judges rubber stamp the applications basically bypassing parental notification laws. Republicans have continually tried to push through parental notification and intervention laws which would explicitly require parental notification and intervention before a child can have an abortion, and would provide strong penalties for abortion providers who perform abortions on minors without parental consent and on anyone assisting a girl to get an abortion without notifying the parents. Write your Congressman today and urge them to pass a law to protect young girls from being railroaded into having an abortion.

Overturning Roe vs Wade was not the end but only a shift in the fight. Planned Parenthood  is pushing laws to allow unlimited abortions. They are hiding their involvement by funneling funds through other organizations and disguising their true intensions. In Ohio they pushed through a Constitutional amendment that  would nullify Ohio’s laws to restrict abortion after the baby was able to survive outside the womb. They pushed it on the pretense it would protect women whose health was threatened to gain sympathy, though the Ohio law already included that, but included a phrase that would allow an abortion if the doctors felt the women’s mental health was in danger, which gives them an excuse to perform abortions up to the time of birth, since every unwanted pregnancy is stressful to the mother. They also included a phrase that would not allow anyone to interfere with someone seeking an abortion. That means girls of any age could get abortions and their parents could not interfere with them getting it. Girls only 10 years old could get an abortion and their parents could not prevent it. That is a recipe for disaster. That means a rapist or sex  trafficker could get a girl pregnant and then take her for an abortion to cover it up. There are already numerous instances where rapists and sex traffickers are taking girls to get abortions and the girls are going through repeated abortions because Planned Parenthood has not notified the parents or child protective services. Sex with underage girls is illegal in all 50 States and laws require child protective services be notified when girls request  an abortion. However, Planned Parenthood and other abortionists openly ignore the law. They tell the girl to list her age as eighteen or over so they can avoid the requirements of the law, even though it is easy to tell that most ten year olds are not over eighteen years old. That is a deliberate act to get around the law.  Abortionists would still be guilty of failing to notify child protective services, even if they repeal the laws about notifying parents. The law protects children from sexual exploitation and the child is a person protected by the Constitution and State laws.

Democrats have been pressing to remove any requirements to require ID’s of people voting and the Obama Administration even filed lawsuits to force States to drop their voter ID laws saying that it discriminates against poor people. However, those who don’t drive can get State ID’s and they have to have ID’s whether they want to get welfare or to get a job so there is no reason for them not to have one. The only reason to try to vote without an ID is if you are an illegal alien or are trying to vote multiple times at different locations under different names. That also explains why the President has been so reluctant to shut our southern border. The more illegal aliens in the U.S., the more they can register illegally and get to vote. Of course, we could always compromise and allow people to vote without an ID if they allow themselves to be fingerprinted to allow the voter registration workers to verify they aren’t trying to vote twice and provide verification of residence and citizenship to verify that they are eligible to vote.

One of the main questions today is if our elections are safe. While Democrats claim that there is no evidence  of fraud,  repeated instances have been uncovered and numerous people convicted. However, the media has censored any instances of widespread fraud by Democrats while exploiting minor instances where Republicans were involved. For instance a mailman caught with several bags of ballots was hardly mentioned but a person taking several ballots from a nursing home to the election office was blown all out of proportion.  While Democrats have spearheaded efforts to loosen voter laws and open the doors to fraud, unscrupulous Republican candidates have not been above exploiting those possibilities.  America used to have the safest election system in the world. You had to go to the election board, present picture ID, and register to vote at least 30 days before the election so they could send your confirmation to your address to verify you lived there. Then you had to appear in person at a voting poll in your neighborhood, present a picture ID to a Republican and a Democrat election worker from your neighborhood, before you could vote. Since then, Democrats have sought to tear down those protections by allowing registration a wide variety of ways, allowing voting by mail and computer where there is no personal verification, and allowing you to vote anywhere so you can vote in multiple places without being recognized. Those open a wide variety of opportunities for fraud by both Republicans and Democrats, jeopardizing the safety of the ballot box. Americans need to press for returning to more stringent laws to protect their vote.

Chores-As the elderly get older, they are can no longer do many of the things that they used to do. Relatively simple things like mowing the lawn, shoveling snow, and similar chores may become too difficult. Many do not have money to hire the work done and it is often difficult finding someone to do the work even if they could afford to pay someone. Christian neighbors can easily do the work when they mow their own lawn or shovel their own walk. Children can learn the value of money by charging small fees to do the work and it would cost the elderly far less than if they hired a professional company to do the work.

Even though liberals say the Republicans pose a great threat to democracy, with no proof of any kind, they continue to show their contempt for democracy. Democrat politicians are urging Democrat voters to switch their affiliation to Republican in the primary and vote for the worst candidate so the Democrats can be guaranteed of winning the next election.  They don’t care anything about the will of the people, all they care about is winning so they can impose their will on the people. That doesn’t sound like democracy to me, that sounds like the working of a party that is trying to overthrow a democracy and establish a dictatorship. They are seeking to corrupt elections, discourage candidates from running against them by physical threats and legal harassment, and blackening the reputation of their opponents through frivolous accusations and investigations so voters won’t vote for them. Once in power, they pass legislation that goes against the wishes of a majority of voters They demonstrate open contempt for democracy and the will of the people.  We need to elect people who will respect the Constitution, the rule of law, and the will of the people. If voters don’t pay attention to who they are voting for, the day will come when we will be like China and Russia and a wide variety of banana republics who hold elections but the one chosen by the party always wins.
