Fourteenth Sunday of Pentecost-Aug 23

Host neighborhood get togethers- Mothers with small children or wives that don’t work often spend large amounts of  time alone. Have teas or lunches wives and include play dates for preschool kids  or backyard BBQ, potlucks, or picnics to enable neighbors to get to know each other and socialize. Provide games for older children during the summer. Many people become isolated as neighborhoods become bedroom communities where people eat and sleep but don’t interact with anyone around them. Often people are afraid to reach out to those around them that they don’t know.
