Persona note-H

26 Nov

Having seen a great opportunity for change in the last election fail, many are asking “Where Do We Go From Here?”. One day Christ will return and clear away all the corruption around us, but until then, God expects His people to redeem the world around them. Before we can do that, we have to know how to do it. God showed us the plan, all we have to do is follow it. Man without God is like a baby who wants what it wants, when it wants it. He must have the law to control him, just as a child needs to learn discipline. Liberals think children can decide what is best for themselves, but only when it benefits the liberal cause. They know that children can be easily confused or deceived because they haven’t learned how to govern themselves. Man must learn to do what is best, not what he thinks is best. What he thinks is best is what is only best for him. Even when man considers the needs of others, it is designed to benefit him. Not just any law will do. Making laws alone won’t do it. Man-made law is subject to man’s control and is designed to benefit those who make the law. They make the law and can change it or ignore it when they want or use it to harass those who stand in their way as those seeking to corrupt our government are currently doing. That is  why God gave His law to the Israelites. God’s law was made by God and only God can change it. Even the king (or president) is subject to the law (Like Samuel informed King David). However, laws alone won’t do it because man seeks to get around the law if he can, to get what he wants. Jesus came to show us a better way.  The best leader is someone who knows the love of God and is guided by the Holy Spirit to do what is best for everyone. No one is capable of ruling over others, regardless of what liberals tell you. That is why the framers of the Constitution designed it so that the people are the ultimate rulers in America and the politicians serve at the people’s will, and under their direction. However, they observed, and rightly so, that it would only work if the people at large knew God and served Him. We are seeing what happens when the nation turns away from God. The people select leaders to rule that will benefit them personally. This leads greedy politicians to give away money to buy votes, which we are seeing now. The recent vote showed that many voters are seeking politicians that will benefit them personally, not ones that will rule wisely for the benefit of all. Many voters in the last election indicated they believed the promises of free money and voted for candidates promising to give it to them, with no thought that they are going to have to pay the money back in taxes, with interest.  To get back to where we need to be, God’s people need to turn back to God and seek His will. God’s people then need to select politicians that will seek what is best for everyone, not just themselves. They must be politicians who themselves seek God’s will and respond to the will of the people.  They must enact laws that control those who don’t know God to keep them from hurting others and that allow those who are guided by God to serve God freely. They must be politicians who will apply the law fairly, not just in a way that benefits them. Then God’s people will be free to win souls to serving God through their example and through preaching the Word of God. Preaching alone won’t do it for there will be unbelievers who don’t know God and must be restrained by the law until Christ returns and removes those who don’t serve Him.

Ezekial 33:1-9 states that if a watchman sees the enemy coming and sounds the alarm, but the people do not heed it, they shall die in their sin and their blood shall be on their heads because they did not heed the warning. However, if the watchman sees the enemy coming but does not sound the alarm, then the people will die in their sin, but God will require their blood at the watchman’s hand. There are those today who seek to call evil good and call good evil. They seek to proclaim their evil openly and threaten and seek to silence those who try to expose them. If the pastors who are called to warn their people of danger are silent, their people will perish but God will require their blood at the pastor’s hand. This is a time when the watchmen cannot afford to be silent. Too much is at stake. There is soon coming a time in America when pastors may risk their lives proclaiming the truth, unless the they speak out while they still can. Some say that it will never happen here, but that is what they thought in Russia, China, Germany, and Cuba. That is the normal today in many places like Africa, India, and Pakistan, as well as Egypt, Iran, and Afghanistan. However, pastors can not do it alone. Every Christian who knows the truth must speak up as well. Not just when they vote, but in their everyday conversations.

Misc-1-G (Emergency Request)

20 May

I received this request from Transform East Alliance who has been trying to help the churches and pastors in India and Bangladesh.

I am writing to tell you about an urgent need for financial help for ministry leaders in West Bengal India and Bangladesh facing enormous medical challenges because of the huge surge in Covid cases.

No doubt you are aware of the second pandemic wave spreading across West Bengal India and Bangladesh, bringing the healthcare system of the world’s second most populous country to a breaking point. Hospitals are overflowing, people are desperate to find oxygen, and the price of medical supplies has skyrocketed. Daily Covid cases have hovered around 400,000, with 3,500 daily deaths which are expected to keep climbing.

These are not mere statistics. These are dear friends and ministry partners who have been updating us daily about themselves, family members, and colleagues who have died or are struggling to get medical help because they have tested positive. These are leaders we know and love and have deeply invested in. Sujit Biswas, a young leader we have been training to Disciple making and church planting others also died our coordinators Jayento and Prithviraj their parents and now they are in quarantine, many tragically died of Covid. More than 10 other TEA leaders have tested positive, and 3 have been hospitalized. Many have lost family members.

There is a great need to provide financial assistance for these leaders to pay for medical treatment. Our TEA network field Coordinator brothers Rabindra and Manik and Joel, shared some examples of how your gift could make a significant difference in the life of a pastor or ministry leader:

  • Utpal in Malda today returned home after a week in a private hospital and his bill is around $500. He could not get treatment in a government hospital due to the long line and lack of facilities.
  • One leader in Medinipur got infected last week and spent $200 for doctors’ consultation, medicine, and vitamins for home treatment.
  • A leader in Birbhum got infected and was low on oxygen. He travelled to two different cities to find medical care. So far, he has spent around $400 and may have to spend another $300 for complete recovery.
  • One leader’s whole family is infected. They have spent around $200 on medicine and might spend another $100 for complete treatment.

Ministry leaders in West Bengal India and Bangladesh earn a monthly salary between $200-$500. Without financial assistance, many will incur burdensome debts, will be forced to go without necessities for their families, or will not be able to get the medical care they need to recover.

As needs continue to mount, we are looking to raise $10,000 to assist ministry leaders in WB India and Bangladesh impacted by the recent surge in Covid cases.

With Love,

Bro. Paresh
