The media leads us to believe that police officers are deliberately targeting Blacks and as a result, there is increasingly violent retaliation against police. While many people claim that a higher percentage of Blacks are killed by police and a higher percentage of Black people are stopped compared to Whites, we need to examine the facts behind those statements. The fact is that a higher percentage of Blacks commit crimes. Currently, 52% of murders are committed by Blacks, even though they constitute only 13% of the population. Therefore, police are more likely to be looking for Black suspects and a police officer may stop someone who is Black because he fits the description of who they are looking for or because they are acting suspiciously. Police are also more likely to assume the Black suspect has a gun and intends to use it because of the higher percentage of violent crimes by Blacks. A Black friend of mine sent me the following statistics. He states that contrary to what we hear, the number of Blacks killed by police has dropped 70% in the last 50 years. In 2012, only 173 Blacks were killed by police while 326 Whites were killed by police. Apparently, police are showing greater restraint in Black areas but cannot ignore what appears to be an open threat. While liberals claim police are responsible for the higher percentage of Blacks arrested, they ignore the fact that more Blacks commit crimes because of liberal policies which promoted slavery which destroyed families by separating them and showing men that it is the overseers job to care for the women and children. They later prevented Blacks from getting an education and good jobs, resulting in a greater need for welfare which further destroyed families by requiring men to leave the family so they could get help. While some Blacks are breaking the mold and getting a good education and a good job, it will take hard work and several generations to rebuild the family structure among Blacks and undo the damage caused by liberal policies.
