The rhetoric of liberal media and politicians points to a set of values that they have been pushing for years but have recently been more open about. They have been pushing abortion as a woman’s right in spite of the fact we now know decisively that it is a baby with a heartbeat and brainwaves. They are saying in effect, the mother’s right to happiness supersedes the baby’s right to life. Once you make that statement, it merely becomes a matter of who you feel stands in the way of your happiness. We are seeing that their feelings are not limited to the unwanted baby in the womb. They are also pushing assisted suicide and mercy killing for the sick, the injured, the elderly, and those who are mentally disturbed. They feel those people are a burden and should be eliminated. They have been very quiet about it because the majority of Americans still value life but they have been quietly pushing it in areas they find open to it like Oregon. Other countries like Canada and many European countries are more open to them and openly practice them because they don’t have the strong Christian values that were prevalent in America up until the 1960’s and 1970’s. When you are trying to convince someone of something, it is frustrating to have someone express an opposing opinion, especially if they can back up their opinion with facts. Charlie Kirk was challenging them to back up their arguments with facts and they knew they could not do that because their opinions are based on feelings, not facts. Therefore he posed a threat to their attempts to convince people, so they feel he needed to be eliminated.
