It seems that FEMA suddenly had lots of money because they rushed aid to California while the wildfires were still burning out of control. It is a serious abuse of power to use government funds to help California when they still had not sent aid to those in N. Carolina who was still struggling to recover after  the Hurricanes that hit it, just because California voted for Democrats while N. Carolina did not. Government help should not be given out on the basis of political affiliation since tax dollars come from taxpayers without regard to political affiliation. The President is supposed to look out for the welfare of the whole country, not just those who voted for him and he has no right to use taxpayer funds to reward his friends and ignore his political opponents. Numerous FEMA workers surveying the damage reported being told to bypass houses that had signs supporting Trump. It is high time for a thorough investigation of the way FEMA has been doing business to see  if this has been a long-standing practice or recent development and the people responsible should be held accountable.
