With many schools failing to teach and with all the teaching supporting free sex, abortion, Gay rights, and socialism, many parents are becoming frustrated with their schools.  In addition, with increasing bullying, violence, and male access to girl’s bathroom and shower facilities, students are feeling increasingly afraid at school. As a result, an increasing number of parents are looking for alternatives. Currently, public schools enjoy an advantage because they are supported by the community and free to students where parents who want their kids to have quality and safe education have to pay taxes to support the public schools as well as pay tuition to a private school. Christian schools currently do not often get federal funds because many States have rules preventing public money from going to church related schools in spite of the Constitution’s prohibition against discrimination on the basis of religion. In addition, many Christian schools are afraid to apply for public funds because they are afraid that they could be coerced to teach things that violate their beliefs by the government threatening to withhold funds. Churches can also push for laws expanding the use of vouchers to include all students so parents can choose the school best for their children and not be prevented by cost. A number of  States like Ohio are currently considering bills to expand their voucher systems.

Voters Beware-Liberal State Education Associations are promoting what they call “Fair Schooling Acts” but they are anything but “fair”.  Recently Ohio passed legislation which expanded Ohio’s program to give vouchers to families whose children attend failing public schools to allow them to transfer their kids to higher quality schools nearby. The Ohio Education Association and far-left politicians fought it because they were afraid of losing more of their monopoly on teaching Ohio’s students. They fought back by trying to deceive voters into thinking they care about quality education and that the private schools are providing inferior education, so they could promote their radical agenda. The public schools have seen an increasing decline in education, but the National Education Association and State affiliates continue to dumb down education standards to hide their declining levels of education, while most private schools are not seeing a decline. Parents should be free to move their children to better schools when their local school fails to adequately teach their children. In addition, competition would force the public schools to improve their level of education to prevent losing more students. With a virtual monopoly on education, they can continue to push their liberal agenda, which devalues life leading to more school shootings, promotes sex education which promotes sexual promiscuity and leads to more abortions, and attacks the family where moral values are taught. Parents should have more freedom to choose the best school for their children, not less.

The National Education Association continues to proclaim that the bills extending school vouchers to kids in failing schools are stealing money from the public schools to fund private schools. They make it look like greedy private schools are seeking to gain access to the public treasury. They miss the whole issue. American public education was developed with the principle that the schools would be controlled by parents and local voters. Liberal politicians have seized control of the local schools by funneling federal and State money to local schools which has enabled them to dictate what is taught and how it is taught. Parents and voters are becoming increasingly upset with the way the government is using their tax money to control the schools and indoctrinate students in liberal policies in order to further its own political agenda. Parents and voters are demanding that the schools either listen to them or they will fund other schools that will. If parents cannot mold the public schools to give their children the kind of education they feel is best, they must find a way to send their kids to schools that will.  These bills are the public’s way of trying to regain control of their schools. It is a question of whether we remain a free country where parents are free to choose the kind of schooling that is best for their kids or the government forces them to send their kids to schools that indoctrinate them in liberal philosophy and trains them to be obedient slaves to the government.

I received the following copy of a newspaper clipping from 1937 from a friend of mine.
Nazis take parents away from children
Nov. 29, 1937 In Waldenberg, Germany, a court has taken parents away from their children because they refused to teach them Nazi ideology. The parents are pacifists, members of a Christian sect called International Bible Researchers. The court accused them of creating an environment where the children would grow up “enemies of the state.” The children were delivered into the state’s care. The judge delivered a lengthy statement reading in part, “The law as a racial and national instrument entrusts German parents with the education of their children only under certain conditions, namely, that they educate them in the fashion that the nation and state expect.”
Quoted from “Chronicles of the 20th Century,” 1987 edition,  p 475 Chronicle Publications, Mt. Kisco, NY.

The same philosophy is being promoted by liberal politicians in this country. Numerous liberal States are moving against parents who homeschool to shut them down. In some instances, children have been taken away from their parents under the pretext that the children aren’t getting an adequate education. Liberal State governments are putting pressure on private schools to teach the same liberal doctrines on sex and gender being taught in many of the public schools. Liberal politicians are now calling on the FBI to label parents who speak out in school board meetings as terrorists and investigate them because they claim the parents pose a threat to society. When parents looking out for the welfare of their children becomes a threat to those in power, those in power are a threat to society.

A large number of young people voted in this recent election and the majority voted for liberal politicians. They thought they were voting to protect democracy but were deceived. The only education they get is in schools where they read socialist friendly textbooks and from the media and social media that are heavily controlled by liberals. Most young people have no understanding of the issues involved because they have been fed a continual stream of liberal propaganda.  They think the socialism being pushed by liberals is democracy and socialists like Joe Biden continually talk about how they are protecting democracy, while seeking to undermine it. In the early 1970’s, during the Vietnam War, many hippies were upset by the materialism of their parents and were escaping to communes where they lived a carefree life with no laws or responsibilities. The socialists flooded the college campuses with stories about how the United States had invaded Vietnam and was trying to enslave them. The kids had no idea that China had invaded Vietnam and the United States was trying to help Vietnam protect itself. The kids equated Communism (which was really socialism) with their life in the communes. As a result, the young people protested the war and eventually forced the United States to withdraw from the war allowing Vietnam to fall to the Chinese Socialists. Many of the socialists active then like Bill Clinton and John Kerry are still active in government and are now seeking to create a socialist government in the United States. The church must step up and educate the kids in the facts of the issues. That is why I have written the series on the value of life, the value of law, and the value of marriage and gender. President Biden is pushing a massive student loan forgiveness program to buy student votes. It is only one more of his massive spending programs which are fueling inflation due to the massive influx of money flooding the economy. It is estimated to cost almost one trillion dollars. Such a massive expenditure is unfair to all those of us who paid for our educations. It took me ten years to pay off my student loans from college and ten years to pay off my loans from graduate school, but I did it because I felt that it was worth the cost. My wife went back and finished her college. and we paid off her loans as well. That has been the normal for those who chose to go to college in the past. It is also unfair to students and their parents who saved up for their education, and those young people who went into the Armed Services to cover the cost of their college. This doesn’t benefit those who need it most because many of those that needed it did not go to college because they could not afford it and didn’t want to get saddled with massive debts. It benefits those in the middle and upper class who could afford to go to college. In addition, college isn’t for everyone. Many choose jobs that don’t require college. Paying college debts is bad policy because it will lead many to go to college that don’t need it in anticipation of the government covering the cost. In addition, many won’t take their education seriously because they won’t have to sacrifice for it. I saw that while teaching in college. The students that got welfare payments to attend college often were more interested in getting credit for the course than in learning. They complained because half of their grade was based on their attendance, so they had to show up to get a good grade. In addition, government money pushes up the cost of college. It is simple supply and demand. Schools take advantage of the government funds. If colleges charge $1000 a semester and the government offers $1000 a semester, the schools will raise their rates to $2000 to get the government money. We saw that with Obamacare. In addition, the President does not have the authority to order the use of tax dollars to pay private debts because spending bills have to be passed by Congress.

Gay Rights=2-F

16 Jul

President Biden has bypassed Congress and rewritten Title IX rules to replace the ban on discrimination based on sex with discrimination based on gender identity. It will require schools to allow children to use the restrooms, locker rooms, showers based on their perceived gender, not their sex. There is no word when the regulations will take effect. Gay rights groups have been targeting schools to force them to open restrooms to transgender children. Recently a school in Washington State decided that a boy who thought he was really a girl should be allowed to use the girl’s restrooms. Parents are understandably up in arms. It opens the doors to all kinds of danger. All a boy has to do is declare he feels he is a girl to gain access to the girl’s restroom. With advances in technology enabling people to plant cameras to spy on people, giving boys access to a girl’s restroom opens up more dangers. Recently a college that had opened its locker rooms to transgender students found a camera had been planted in the restroom and was taking pictures of the girls showering. The boys responsible had been posing as transgender and used the opportunity to plant the cameras. While the boys were expelled from school, the pictures had already been posted on the internet for all to see and the girls will have to live with the knowledge that pictures of them undressed are floating around the internet for their friends and potential friends to see. Parents can bring about change. The Stafford Co (VA) School Board decided to allow a cross-gender boy to use the girl’s bathroom, however, irate parents crowded into the School Board’s next meeting to protest and the School Board decided not to allow the boy to use the girl’s bathroom though they did not pass a resolution to prevent the school from allowing it in the future. The issue is not over.

Teachers unions say the public schools will be seriously hurt by the loss of money and students if vouchers are given to children to take to the school of their choice, but areas using vouchers have found public schools improve, sometimes dramatically when vouchers are introduced. Our public schools have become lazy and inefficient because they have not had any real competition in the past because private schools are so expensive. When vouchers are introduced, public schools trim fat and improve teaching to avoid losing students. Currently, most parents are forced to send their kids to public schools because they must pay all or most of the tuition themselves to send their kids to private schools, where public school students are supported by taxes spread out over all residents of the school district. In fact, parents who wish to send their kids to private schools must pay the private school’s tuition in addition to paying taxes to support the public schools since they do not get any refund of their school taxes if their kids attend private schools. Shouldn’t all parents have a right to send their kids to the school that is best for them, not just the rich?
