There are many organizations, including colleges and universities that still use racial quotas even though they are unfair to both whites and minorities. While people should not be discriminated against because of their race, there are already remedies for that, but to require companies to hire unqualified people over qualified ones simply because of their race is insane. Companies can not guarantee they will get adequate applications from each race to meet the quotas and must fill position with unqualified people if they don\u2019t get enough qualified people to fill the quota. That is unfair to the company because it requires them to hire unqualified people of a certain race to fill the quota even if there are qualified people of other races. The people will not do a good job if they aren\u2019t qualified which hurts the company. It is unfair to Whites who are qualified to hire unqualified people simply because of their race. It is also unfair to minorities to hire them for positions they aren\u2019t qualified for and set them up to fail. It also discourages minorities from getting the training they need for positions if they know they can get the job without it. In addition, it labels minority applicants as failures who can\u2019t get a job on their own merit, even if they are qualified. Whites will also look down on minorities, even though they got the job based on their qualifications, because Whites will think they just got the job due to the quota. As a result, quotas are opposed by many black leaders. It also hurts minorities, like Asians, who may be qualified for the job but haven\u2019t been assigned a quota in the law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
