Many liberals are celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk, saying he got what he deserved. He never attacked anyone or belittled them, he merely asked them to defend what they believe. They hate him so much because they cannot defend their positions and they know it. The positions are selfish and self-serving and they cannot be defended because they go against what is best for everyone. I have written a series of values comparing Christian values with the values of the liberals to illustrate how irrational they are. They only make sense if you are only thinking of yourself and what is best for yourself. To them, it is alright to kill a baby, an elderly person, someone who is gravely ill or injured, or who is mentally disturbed because they see no value in those people and feel we are better off without them. They feel it is alright to eliminate those who stand in the way of their happiness and celebrate his death because he forces them to defend what they cannot defend and they don’t like being exposed as fools.

Many people criticize those who support banning abortions in all cases, including cases of rape and incest. However, by allowing abortions in cases of rape and incest, it is essentially legalizing rape and incest. Since abortion centers don’t report the ages of clients, it disguises the extent of incest and rape against children. It is estimated that hundreds of thousands of children (1 out of 5) get abortions every year without their parent’s knowledge. Abortionists also do not report such cases to law enforcement agencies (though they are required to by law) so the rapists are never prosecuted. In addition, by destroying the baby and the placenta, abortion providers destroy the evidence needed to prove rape and incest and makes it impossible to prove who the father of the baby is, allowing the rapist to walk away free. Since abortion clinics do not require proof of identity, many underage girls get abortions by borrowing a friend’s Medicaid card to cover their abortion.

Even if we allow abortion, the government should not be paying for them. With funding for Medicaid already strained, it makes no sense to add millions of dollars to fund unnecessary abortions when the government is cutting what it pays for medical research (like for cancer) and for care of Seniors and the chronically ill for treatment of life or death medical issues. Almost all abortions are elective. (The Supreme Court challenged abortion providers to provide an instance where an abortion was needed to save the life of the mother and they have never been able to provide one) Eliminating funding for abortions would provide more money for medical care. Cutting funding for abortions would also force women to pay for their own abortions making them think more carefully before having unprotected sex and enable increased prosecution of rapists and those engaged in incest which would reduce the number of babies aborted. Democrats blocked a bill called “Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act”, that would end legalized infanticide. A  number of States have legalized killing a baby up to 28 days after birth, by using perinatal instead of prenatal in the law. Perinatal includes the period up to a month after birth.   It passed the House but Democrats blocked a vote in Senate. While liberal politicians pushed through Roe vs Wade on the grounds that we could not tell if the baby was a person or not, they have continued to push the limits. They have fought attempts to limit abortions to before it has a heartbeat and brainwaves at only a couple weeks old. They have pushed abortion up to and including at birth through a partial birth abortion where the baby is reversed and delivered feet first. When all but the head is out, they puncture the skull and remove the brain so the baby is born dead. While it is definitely known that the baby is a person at birth, they turn a blind eye. However, some babies did not die in the abortion and were born alive. They would smother it and throw it in a trash can or leave it out to starve to death. All the time, they have covered up their acts to avoid a public outcry. Over time the American people have become accustomed to the killing. Recently they have been able to legalize killing it in some States. The Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act would require doctors to fight to save babies born alive.

Accepting Euthanasia is a Slippery slope. Dr Kovorkian started with those who were terminally ill and moved on to those who were only depressed.  The desire for death doesn’t always mean they want help dying. They may feel death would be a release but not want to do it. Safeguards are ineffective and often ignored. Accepting voluntary requests often leads to involuntary acts since outside pressure often prevails. It is often difficult to determine if someone is a vegetable? People who were thought to be a vegetable in a permanent coma have woke up and said they heard everything but couldn’t respond. Some woke up years later and returned to leading a normal life. Some who they thought were untreatable were  able to find treatment. Government-run health insurance programs pose a serious problem since decisions are based on cost-effectiveness without regard for the individual. A couple in England whose child was diagnosed with a critical disease. The government-run health board ruled he was not worth treating and ordered the hospital to remove his life support. The couple appealed to social media and hospitals in America  and Australia offered to take the child, but the government refused to release the child and removed his life support. He died shortly after.

Doctors in Canada euthanized about 15,000 people last year according to records. However, it is probably much higher as doctors don’t want to be known for killing their patients. Many are probably hidden like many abortion related deaths are in America. Mothers who die from botched abortions are often listed under innocent sounding titles like excessive bleeding from the uterus. It sounds innocent but hides the fact she was bleeding from a perforated uterus as the result of a botched abortion. Not all mercy killings are voluntary. For instance, there was a 61 year old man. The man was medically healthy but suffered from chronic depression. An Ontario court had recently struck down the requirement that the person have a terminal illness to be eligible for a medically induced death. The family was not informed of the fact until just before he was euthanized. When informed about it they begged doctors not to end his life, but they did anyway. Since chronic depression is often cyclical, there is no reason to believe that had he not been killed, the man would have changed his mind in a few days. Since socialized medicine rations health care based on whether the government board feels a life is worth the cost of the treatment, it approved ending his life because they didn’t feel that it was worth the cost of continuing to treat him. Our attention is constantly on abortion, but we often forget other issues like assisted suicide and mercy killing. Assisted suicide is assisting someone who wishes to die, while Euthanasia (mercy killing) is taking the life of one who is terminally ill or suffering, with or without their request.
