A city council in Texas enacted a law allowing people to use whatever bathroom they choose, regardless of their real or imagined gender. The churches gathered a petition to overturn the law through popular vote. The Justice Department then ordered the pastors of those churches to turn over copies of their sermons and any other material to determine if they opposed the law. How the question is resolved will determine whether churches have the right to inform their members about moral and social issues which affect them. Right now, the churches are the only thing holding together the moral and social fabric of this country, if the church is silenced, we will see an outpouring of moral and social depravity of unbelievable proportions. If it comes to where churches are prevented from supporting moral issues publicly, members can circulate information on the issues among themselves and their friends without the church letterhead.
