Gay Rights-2-D

13 Oct

Recently a father was called to the school because his teenage daughter had been assaulted. It turned out that his daughter had been sexually assaulted by a boy entering the girl’s restroom dressed as a girl. The school refused to call police and preferred to handle it internally. When the father insisted they call police, they did and had the police evict him. Later at a school board meeting, the superintendent said all the excitement over boys using girl’s bathrooms was overblown and he knew of no incidents where girls had been assaulted because of the policy. When the father tried to correct him, they had police evict him. A short time later, the boy assaulted another girl in another girl’s bathroom. It will continue as long as boys can walk freely into girl’s bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers. Parents need to stand up and protect their children.  Our schools are built on the principle that local officials are elected to oversee the schools and serve the community. Recently, many school boards seem to have gotten the idea that they have a right to impose their values on the kids and parents should not have any say as to what is taught. Yet, voters still vote for school levies and elect school board members. If school board  members don’t want to listen to the community, the voters have a right to turn down school bond issues and not reelect the school board members. Parents need to know what their kids are taught because some of it is pretty scary.
