Public schools oppose the expansion of vouchers and claim that public schools will suffer from loss of money that would be diverted to private schools. However, if the funds are paid equally to all students, regardless of the school they attend, the loss of funds would be accompanied by a loss of students so there would be less expense. The real opposition is to the loss of control over what students are taught. Liberal educators have been redesigning education from learning to evaluate facts and come to conclusions towards indoctrination which teaches students to accept what they are taught without questioning it. Liberal educators are also pressuring schools to teach liberal doctrines and principles in order to indoctrinate students in liberal theology. Allowing parents a choice in where they send their kids threatens that control.
